Instructions
Ch 148 ( 166, 186 )
Row1: insert hook in the 2nd ch from the hook & make sc in next 52 ( 52, 52) sts, dc in next 43 ( 61, 81 ) sts, sc in the last 52 ( 52, 52 ) sts. Ch1.
Fasten off & weave in ends
We will work on the dc sts only and the sc will be used as a tie.
Row2 (RS): Attach yarn in the 1st dc & make ch4 (ch3 considered as dc & ch1 as ch1sp), sk st, dc in next st, *ch1, sk st, dc in next st* rep. From *to* all across till the last dc. Turn.
Row3: ch3, dc2tog (I.e. next ch1sp & next dc st), *ch1, sk next ch1sp, dc in next st* rep. From *to* all across till the last 4sts, ch1, sk next ch1sp, dc3tog ( I.e. next dc st, next ch1sp & 3rd ch of the last dc). Turn.

From *to* all across till the row before the last row, then in the last row make ( sc, big shell st, sc), shell st in next dc side, *sc in next dc side, shell st in next dc side* rep. From *to* all across till the 2nd row, then make sl st in the last dc side of the 1st row. Ch1.
Fasten off & weave in ends.
• For CHILD size
Make *shell st in next dc side, sc in next dc side* rep. From *to* all across till the row before the last row, then in the last row make big shell st, *sc in next dc side, shell st in next dc side* rep. From *to* all across till the 2nd row, then make sl st in the dc side of the 1st row. Ch1.
